Keith Halfmann, Chief Operating Officer

Geis Companies has retained Keith Halfmann to be the Chief Operating Officer of the management company. Keith Halfmann was formerly with Marcus Hotels & Resorts for 14 years, serving as Vice President of Operations for the last six years. While with Marcus, Keith pre-developed and opened 2 hotels, renovated, and repositioned 6 properties including the Cornhusker Marriott in Lincoln, Nebraska. Included in Keith´s repertoire is extensive restaurant, bar, and spa concept, development, and operations with Mason Street Grill, Milwaukee Chophouse, Blu and Well Spa successfully operating for Marcus with future plans for expansion. In addition to Marriott International, Keith has worked closely and formed strong relationships with Hilton and Starwood. Keith´s experience gives Geis Hospitality Group the needed expertise to launch the Cleveland development, future Hotel and Restaurant acquisitions and new developments.

Scott Berkowitz, Chief Investment Officer

Scott Berkowitz, has a 15 year real estate career managing over $400 million in transactional activity. Much of this time was spent in the Resort Residential markets in high profile second home communities located all over the country, including California, Colorado, Georgia, New Mexico, and Florida. Scott has also worked internationally in the Riviera Maya region. Currently Scott is the lead developer of a Starwood boutique hotel in Beachwood, Ohio as well as the managing principal of a private wealth fund that seeks to acquire branded hotel assets. As CIO, Scott will look to leverage his extensive relationships to grow the management company through development, third party management opportunities, and the expansion into the select service hotel segment.
